Working on new tote bags and phone bags!

Image
A weekend is never long enough when I have so many ideas!  I am currently working on tote bags, approx. 10 inch wide, 10 inch tall, and 5 inch deep, with 5 inner pockets and long enough handles to carry on a shoulder, and cross body phone bags with a zipper pocket.  These take more fabrics so I cannot make a whole bunch at once but if you peeps like them, I'll expand the inventory!  Hopefully I can complete the first batch in a week or two.  The hardest part for me of the entire production and sale is the photo shoot.  I have to wait for a nice sunny afternoon for the optimal lighting🌞, and take decent photos to show what they are.  Oh my favorite part is when a new product turns out beautiful and capable as I designed🥹🤎 After these are done, I'll be working on restocking key chains and small wallets.  I want to make scrunchies too but low on fabrics I have used for scrunchies, so I need to order more suitable fabrics.  ...

Crochet girlfriend kitties🌸

Image
Greetings friends!  To sew or to crochet?  Tough choice when I want to do both!  But lately I've been busy comparing yarns to make crochet kitties.  I have some listed on Etsy but would like to find the best yarn for white and black kitties.  I used 100% cotton yarn to make them, and while mustard and gray colors are soft and beautiful, white and black yarns of the exact brand have a tougher texture.   I'm looking for smooth finish with much less gaps.   These are made using the same pattern.  All 4 types of the yarns used are #4 medium weight.  I used 4mn hook for all.  Do you see the difference?   I prefer natural material but acrylic might be the best choice for this project (B).  Chenille (D) is super soft but a little difficult to crochet, because stitches are less visible and yarn brakes when you pull to close.  Maybe chenille should be crocheted with a larger hook, since no problem with th...

Working on new crossbody phone bags!

For a casual outing, all I need is my phone and keys. No need for a purse, but nice to have a small crossbody bag when I don't have a pocket.  So, I'm working on an ultimate phone crossbody bag!  I want it to be simple and small, yet functional.  The phone should be protected, but should be able to go in and out easily.  Also it might be a good idea to have a zipper pocket to keep keys safely...  what do you think?   This one is made using Kokka brand Japanese cat print Oxford cotton, backed with polyester interfacing for structure, with inner fabric being my wood grain print cotton I designed and printed through spoonflower.com, backed with fusible fleese for thickness.  The bag is about 8 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide, and thickness is 0.75 inches.  The matching strap is adjustable and extended up to 50 inches. I have been working on prototypes, and this one is getting close to the image I have.  My preferred hardware is matte black met...
